What you’ll do

We will look to you to ensure that quality nutritional services are provided to residents daily. You’ll listen and respond to the needs of residents and team members while reviewing the dietary requirements for each resident admitted to the facility. We’ll also count on you to you to develop the resident’s Plan of Care to meet all dietary needs. You’ll make sure that special diets are followed, and the resident’s meals are being served in the appropriate portions.

 

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or nutrition from a school accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) required
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) license from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) required
  • Current license as a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Ohio Board of Dietetics required
  • ServeSafe certification required or willing to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
  • Two years experience as a Registered Dietitian in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare environment required
  • Experience in menu planning and development, food cost control, and diet required
  • Knowledge of dietary practices/therapy and procedures in a life plan community preferred
  • Proficiency with diet management software
