The Workforce & Community Liaison (WCL) serves as a primary connector between Ohio Living and the greater community. The WCL is responsible for building and maintaining trusting relationships with local schools and community stakeholders/resources, promoting open career opportunities, and ensuring that Ohio Living is positively represented in all internal and external interactions.
Essential Activities and Tasks
Relationship Management - 40%
Builds and maintains relationships with local schools, colleges, governmental entities, community leaders, business owners, and residents.
Represents Ohio Living internally and externally with the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to people
Actively listens to internal and external feedback and translates information into action steps that connect to relevant outcomes and goals
Commits to investing in internal and external relationships by being nimble, reliable, present, and proactive in communication and follow through.
Serves as an advocate, trusted resource, and additional connector/relator for new hires
Sourcing and Recruitment - 40%
Meets regularly with local Area Human Resources Director and Recruiter to understand current and future talent vacancies and needs.
Defines and implements creative and innovative sourcing strategies with hiring managers and leaders that include brand awareness and passive candidate identification by way of internet sourcing, cold calling, recruitment advertising, participation in hiring events, attending industry, and networking events, partnering with local schools and community entities, and other means.
Implements strategies to attract and retain a diverse workforce that reflects the community demographics
Creates target lists of focused partnerships.
Promotes Ohio Living career opportunities and services to targeted audiences.
Provides information about career pathways, training programs (Certified Nursing Aide, Certified Medication Aide), and other resources to attract and engage future staff at a variety of events and other community forums
Recruitment Workflow Management-15%
Tracks workforce demographics and identify areas where outreach efforts can be enhanced.
Analyzes and seeks new ways to improve recruiting workflow and candidate experience.
Provides recruiting reports to track and assess results.
Maintains open communication with hiring managers by providing weekly status updates and information engagement activities.
Community Outreach-5%
Maintains accurate record of community interactions and activities.
Gathers feedback from community members and share it with internal stakeholders.
Develops and implements community outreach plan.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, public administration, human resources, social services, or a related field required.
Experience
Two years experience in recruiting or general HR required.
Two years experience with community outreach strategies required.
Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet required.
Entry-level understanding / knowledge of high-volume recruiting in the healthcare field preferred
Other Requirements
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (be insurable under professional liability and crime coverage policies as specified by insurance carrier underwriting standards)
